Putin Internet Digest - A portal to information about president Putin. As if that´s not enough, you can also search for a used car, among other things, on this site.

The Moscow News - Informative English-language Moscow newspaper.

Yandex - Popular Russian internet portal. You can find out the latest news here, and get a free email address.

Russian Museums Info - An extensive English-language list of Russian museums, with descriptions of museums and links to official museum web sites.

State Borodino War and History Museum and Reserve - Another part of Russia´s collection of significant battle scenes. Site in Russian and English.

State Museum of Russian Political History - Informative site - find out about the museum´s active children´s programme. In Russian only.

The State Museum ´Kulikovo Field´ - Visit the location of the famous 14th battle, not far from Tula. Site in Russian and English.

The Vodka Museum - A serious site for a serious museum devoted to a serious topic. (The Museum is in Moscow.)

State Museum and Estate ´Tsarskoe Selo´ - Otherwise known as Pushkin, this imperial estate is well worth a visit. Check it out beforehand on this site, in Russian and English.

Vernadsky Geological Museum - Interested in rocks? Find out about the collection of the Vernadsky Geological Museum, Moscow. In Russian and English.

Yasnaya Polyana - Museum-Estate of Leo Tolstoy - The great writer didn´t have it bad. Have a look at this site and find out all about his estate in the Tula region. Site in Russian, English, and German.

The National Pushkin Museum - This St. Petersburg museum is just one of many Pushkin museums in Russia. Here you can see the writer´s personal belongings, drawings etc.

The Tolstoy State Museum - Site of an old literary museum with an active social life. In Russian and English.

The Central Naval Museum - Detailed site of one of the world´s largest naval museums. English version under construction.

The Russian Museum of Ethnography - Stylish site of one of the world´s largest ethnographic museums. Also in English.

The Moscow Zoo - Here you can find out, among other things, that the zoo´s kangaroo, Benetta, gets along just fine in the Moscow climate. English version of site in construction.

State Museum-Reserve ´Tsaritsyno´ - Site for a Moscow-region museum complex called ´the Russian Versailles´. This one offers concerts. Site in Russian.

The Central Museum of Armed Forces - English- and Russian-language site of a significant armed-forces museum in Moscow. Their collection includes the Victory Banner.

The Peterhof State Museum Reserve - Classy site of one of St. Petersburg´s must-see attractions. In Russian.

All Russian Decorative, Applied and Folk Arts Museum - Moscow museum whose exhibits include toys. Site in Russian.

"Kolomenskoye" XVI-XIX Century Museum Complex - Site of collection of historical buildings/museums in the Moscow regions of Kolomenskoye, Lyublino, and Lefortovo. In Russian.

Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography - Funky site of the weirdest museum in St. Petersburg. In Russian and English.

The Vladimir and Suzdal Museum Complex of History, Art and Architecture - The official site of a large collection of historical buildings in the Golden Ring towns of Vladimir and Suzdal. In Russian and English.

The State Polytechnical Museum - Extensive information in Russian, including a list of concerts held at the museum. English section of site under construction.

The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts - Detailed information about another of Moscow´s best art galleries. In English and Russian.

State Historical Museum - Extensive Russian-language site of the State Historical Museum, which is located on Red Square.

State Tretyakov Gallery - Site of Moscow´s premier art gallery. Also in English.

St.Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music - Here you can learn about a collection of St. Petersburg museums, all dedicated to music and theatre. Also in English.

Glinka Museum of Musical Culture - Learn about the collection of musical wonders, including manuscripts of Russia´s great composers, you can see in this museum, located in the Moscow Conservatoire. Site also in English.

The Russian State Museum of Arctic and Antarctic - Learn about all aspects of not only one end of the earth, but the other as well. Site also in English.

The Russian Knights Aerobatic Team - Just as the title suggests. Site also in English.

Russian Federation Administrative Bodies - Use this site to access various Russian federation administrative bodies. Some pages are in English.

Federal State Statistics Service - Find out the latest statistics on aspects of Russian life, including labour, population, and standard of living.

Ministry for Education - Find out about the education system in Russia - at least, the official version. Only in Russian.

Ministry for Economic Development and Trade - Also available in English, and includes a survey of recent economy-related press.

Duma - This is where it´s at - the Duma´s site. Find all sorts of interesting things here, including the Constitution.

Federal Customs Service - You can even ask questions about customs here - but only in Russian. The site is also in English.

The Council of the Federation - Find out the Federation is structured. Also in English.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation - Find the latest on exchange rates and money in general. Also in English.

Supreme Arbitration Court - Arbitration court of the Russian Federation - only in Russian.

RTR - Website of the government-owned Rossiya television station.

Vedomosti - The Russian version of The Wall Street Journal and The Financial Times, who are its partners.

TV Tsentr - Radio broadcasts on a range of topics. In Russian but keep an eye out for English version.

Radio Svoboda - Radio Freedom - Russian-language site with live broadcasts. Also offers podcasting.

SMI - SMI stands for ´Means of Mass Information´. The emphasis is certainly on "mass" with this colourful site.

Ria Novosti - Newspaper with emphasis on international news, available in a number of languages.

Rossiskaya Gazeta - The Russian government´s official newspaper.

Ren TV - Pretty site of a Russian television channel with a brief nod to the news.

RBC News - All about business, and in English too. RBC stands for Russian Business Consulting.

Radio Radonezh - The Russian Orthodox Church is now online with live radio broadcasts. Also in English.

Radio Russia - Direct radio broadcasts on a wide range of Russia-related themes.

Radio Mayak - Russian-language newspaper with accompanying direct radio broadcast.

Prime-Tass - Another news agency, but this time about business. In English.

Novaya Gazeta - Russian newspaper with an option to translate into a number of languages. Their motto: "We have the same letters, but different words".

Nezavisimaya Gazeta - Self-proclaimed independent newspaper - only in Russian.

Govorit Moskva - Music site streaming Russian radio stations.

Moscow News - Nicely laid-out English language paper about Russia.

Kommersant - Daily business newspaper with interesting origins - also available in English.

AVN - The latest Russian military news - also available in English.

Izvestia - Well-known Russian newspaper - also has special sections on scientific research and finance.

Gazeta - Classy Russian newspaper with international news as well.

APN - Agency of Political News - The latest political news from Russia. In Russian.

Itar-Tass - A particularly up-to-date news source with great photos.

Federal News Service Moscow - US site providing transcripts of important Moscow news.

1tv - Colourful and interactive home of one of Russiaґs more popular television stations - in Russian only.

Voice of Russia - Hear the voice of Russia on this live radio site - thought-provoking stories not only in Russian, but in English and many other languages.

Interfax - Emphasis on politics, finance and business. Also available in English.

Pravda - Pravda, perhaps Russiaґs most famous newspaper is online - and in English.

The Russia Journal - Serious online newspaper with a focus on Russiaґs international relations.

The St Petersburg Times - Popular English-language newspaper - contains local and international news, opinion pieces, arts and sports coverage.

The Moscow Times - The main English-language newspaper in Moscow - contains local and international news, opinion pieces, arts and sports coverage.
